LONDON (Alliance News) – ECO Animal Health Group PLC on Tuesday said its unit ECO Animal Health Ltd has entered a second exclusive licensing deal with the Poultry Diagnostic & Research Center of the University of Georgia.
This deal, which follows one for the development of potential vaccines in the field of mycoplasma gallisepticum, will allow ECO to “further develop, register and commercialize a live attenuated mycoplasma synoviae vaccine for poultry” developed by the university.
ECO Non-Executive Chair Peter Lawrence explained mycoplasma synoviae is a bacterium that affects breeding birds worldwide, resulting in a 5% to 10% loss in egg production in affected flocks.
